Dan Richardson on Trade Radio:

AUDIO: https://audioboo.fm/boos/1647031-richmond-s-football-manager-dan-richardson-on-gillette-trade-radio

SUMMARY:

We're confident with the research of Hartley and his team. It should drop to the 30's with compensation deals

I've been amazed in my time here the amount of work Blair Hartley puts it.

We see Shaun coming in to complement our ruck stocks and play forward. We certainly recruited him to be apart of our best side

We feel we've got strong experience in our coaching group. We'll appoint a couple of development coaches

We've announced the appointment of Andrew McQualter recently as a development coach.

On Taylor Adams: From a TPP perspective and ability to get the deal done with GWS, it's not something we pursued vigorously.

On McGuane: He's made the decision to look elsewhere and he's keen to get back to QLD. Had a good working relationship with Leppa

On Dustin Martin: We certainly haven't treated him any different to any other player, maybe it was just more public

i would have liked someone to ask him if he thinks we are locked and loaded.  the way its going one woulkd think so.
theres only two on the list left who we can delist i think. anyone else  3 of em who have  gone has walked out the door on their own accord. the way they have handled things so far their will be no excuses for not finishing top 4 how else can you read it.

what i would really like to know is there anyone with a say on the outside of the club with little contact with players and  no emotional bond toward them. but with all the relevant information the club can provide.

id really like to see  a full on review of recruiting and list management and some real accountability. sick and tired of all the lip service and back slapping.

So half a dozen players are provided with one year contracts so that we get flexibility next year.  But we're locked and loaded.

We still have not announced delistings.  Helbig, Dea, Nahas, Derrickx, O'Hanlon, are uncontracted for next year.  That's flexibility.

List management a multi-year process, looking at 3 (yes read it 3) drafts into the future and planning for that.

Plus knowing that due to the Buddy Franklin, Daisy Thomas, Colin Sylvia moves, pick 28 will slide to 31 or worse.

But continue on.  It's your opinion and your opinion only.  We don't all share it.  We have that right.

But Claw, if we move on Nahas, O'Hanlon and Xman - get rid of 3 rookies then we delist 9 - that's what you posted, right?
We need you to be accountable for what you post. Role model it sunshine
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Agree with comments made by other posters that we have nothing to trade hence the reason why we are taking a passive approach. I strongly believe that the number 11 pick should not be traded away and should be used to get the best possible player in the draft

Marry Poppins would had been an upgrade on Angus graham

Hence very few were anti the maric trade

Jackstar was very vocal about his dislike of the Maric trade. From memory it went something along the lines of "worse than Graham" or something to that effect

Proof or it never happened Tiga

Those stats don't mean anything, how long was his % of time in the ruck as opposed to others?
its not just 1 game go compare marics career stats to the one we want him to replace in graham. angus wins marics stats are underwhelming as is grahams.

the whole idea is to upgrade on angus but the question must be asked would it actually be an upgrade or just a older like for like player.
its unbelievable that the club would offer up a second rnd pick for such an underachieving unproven player.
surely as a club we have come further along than this.

if they see something in him fine give him the chance but not at any cost and certainly not paying overs.
