What the Tigers will hope to benefit from this week is the return from injury of playmaker Brett Deledio and key defender Alex Rance.

Deledio, recovering from an Achilles issue, has been a frustrated onlooker since last playing in the win over Carlton in round two.

"It is tough. From the stands, you see every option the boys should be taking but I have been out there myself, I understand how hard it is. You just want to be able to help. Hopefully, I can do that this week," he said.

Deledio will need to prove he can train and recover without pain if he is to play.

"It wasn't healing as well as I would have liked. It took a lot of work, a lot of strength work to get it back but now I can run and not pull up sore. Touch wood, I will be out there again on Sunday," he said.

Rance (foot) said he could have taken to the field against the Hawks.

"It's all good. I was probably line ball to play on the weekend but it was the doc's call and it just didn't go my way," he said.

Maric (ankle) is listed at still being a fortnight away from resuming, while Nathan Foley (calf) faces a fitness test.

Pointless playing Lids if he is not RTG.

Anyone offering any odds for this scenario to happen.

Play Lids and Rance injured because we panic internally. They play poorly, come under criticism for poor performance and most likely reinjure themselves.

Get fair dinkum. If they are not fit, they can't play regardless if a half fit Deledio is better than half of the crabs playing at the moment.

Maric's injury just keeps getting longer and longer. How does it go from 2 weeks to 2-3 a week later?  :shh

Have it on reasonable authority that it was his navicular that was the problem...
I doubted it at the time when told but now it doesn't seem that far fetched.... :whistle
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.
