At May 6, 2014

Player               Injury            Expected return
Chris Knights    Knee soreness    Test
Ivan Maric            Ankle            Test
Chris Newman    Calf              4-6 weeks
Jake King           Foot                    8-10 weeks

http://www.richmondfc.com.au/news-and-media/injury-list

Ivan should play vs melbourne
He hasn't played this year so he'll come back via the VFL after the bye.

It's Melbourne, box hill will probably be a tougher team to play against

Doc Larkins says:

Newman sustained a high-grade medial calf tear and the club expects him to miss 5-6 weeks. Soft tissue recovery is slower in older players but he will work through rehab with massage, strength exercises and non-running fitness work in the gym. King is on the long-term list and may struggle to regain his senior spot with a chronic big toe injury. Maric has background ankle soreness but should be right. - 7/5

You sort of get the gut feel that the club will at some point make an announcement that Maric will miss the season, just seems to be taking so long to recover.

Not to mention that the injury is actually more than bone spurs but a chronic groin injury.

It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”

Doc Larkins says:

The Tigers will come back fresh after the bye and no doubt be motivated by the passing of club legend Tommy Hafey. Maric is close to full training loads after ankle surgery and should be right to get through testing but is likely to make a return via the VFL.
