Dean Brogan
« on: June 17, 2005, 02:31:43 AM »
Any interest in Port's Dean Brogan with Stafford near retirement?

He was Port's number 1 ruckman last year in their premiership after Primus missed the whole year. Now Primus is back he can't get a game and is stuck playing in the SANFL. Agile ruckman who also has a NBL championship medal.

Do we really need another  ruckmen?

With Simmonds and Knobel being ruckmen, and Pattison likely to play there in the coming years, do we really need a guy who wants to play no.1 ruck, when we have Knobel who can only play ruck, and Simmonds who could probably do that aswell.

We would've had both  :thumbsup. Deledio was picked up in the main November National Draft. The PSD (pre-season draft) is in mid December and is the last chance for out of contract and delisted AFL players like Knobel to be picked up.

I know that, what i meant is if we had had the no.1 PSD pick this year, we would of had the no.1 draft pick this year, and wouldn't of had it last year, so wouldn't of had Deledio!

......................................if that makes sense!  :banghead

His playing pretty uninspired footy tonight, methinks he could very well be leaving Port at seasons end!

Yeah makes sense :thumbsup. Still we were stiff last year there wasn't a handy name player out of contract for picking in the PSD compared to 2003 with Stevens and possibly this year with Brogan.
