Will be a very good player for this club for many many years. Will take the role of Deledio in time!!

Have to say, after seeing his highlights at u18 level I was very excited about this guy. We took him pick 12 in a very strong draft, I remember Emma Quale's comments in the lead up suggesting you could throw a blanket over the first 15 picks, they're all as talented as one another.

Was a little dissapointed when he didn't follow the path of a B. Ellis or Vlastuin and have an immediate impact and adjust easily to the level, but I'm really happy with what he's producing at the moment. Got all the traits of a very competent half-forward who rotates through the midfield. 250 games??

Yes and that's because he and his manager put off talks weeks ago (when he was running around in the VFL)

Now a fortnight out from finals is not the time to be talking contracts with any player

Great start to the game from Ben. Obviously a natural forward as he gets pretty hungry around goals..

He's a classy mark. Improving with every game. I gave him a vote for his game tonight.

One grab, nice kick
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

I would have liked to have seen him play at Full Forward - he was catching everything. In the wet, marking like that could be very handy IMHO.
