I think Vlastuin will be handed #17.

I hope he is

But on twitter last week, Vlaustin referred to No. 17 as the Captain's number at Richmond so he believes the next captain should be given the option

Hampson and Floss will get 2 of the low ones (but not 17, think the club will retire that jumper until the next captain) but the newbies will get 35+.

Not sure "17" will be the captain's number again Smokey, Gary March said earlier this year with Cotch wanting to keep number 9 then the number 17 for the captain was likely done and dusted

And considering the board allowed Cotch to keep number 9 and not enforce their own directive I reckon that it's done and dusted. Although it was fantastic to read Vlaustin on twitter say in his opinion number 17 is the captains number at Richmond

I would normally say "true Smokey, so true"

But in this case I don't think the fat lady will get a chance to warm up her vocal chords with the "tail wagging the dog" on this issue  ;) ;D

Does Miles in 19 mean he's a good chance for pre-season elevation and in  the mix for a game?

Don't think it means that, but he is well and truly in Round 1 contention from what I'm told.
