« on: June 19, 2005, 03:19:25 AM »
Well Well Well - Even the diehard Aussie I am, cant help but smile at the Bangladesh Tigers doing Oz in the first 1 dayer - Well done Tigers  :lol

Saw them in a world cup match in 99 and their supporters are full on cricket nuts and great sports. Good stuff.

Australia need to wake up - Lets just hope the Poms go into a frenzy and then get their rzez whooped 5 nil in the real stuff. :thumbsup

I have to admit that I had a chuckle this morning when I heard the result but was not surprised - the Aussies seem a bit lost at the moment, either that or they think they are some sort of junket.

My personal view has always been you play the serious stuff first i.e. THE TEST MATCHES and the hit and giggle stuff second

Also, I am interested to see what Symmonds was dropped for - breaching team rules they say - talk about vague

Symonds had a night on the grog and broke team curfew apparently.

So it seems and they reckon he not only broke curfew but turned up to training still intoxicated ::)

One of the English Commentators (Allott I think) suggested that this isn't the first time it's happened :gobdrop

Bunch of Sftcks sports teams these days - How they ever would of survided in the past is beyond me. And on that point are they any better than the Marsh's Lillies Walters xtra of the past - I think not.

At least Boonies record will remain in history for all time. :lol

The Aussies are playing like they're the Richmond Football Club.

Teach them for not preparing for the tour properly. Most of them hadn't played a match in at least 3 months. Imagine an AFL side rocking up to round one without a playing a single preseason game.

As much as it's good for the sport that the Aussies are being challenged (stuff that lol) I'm hoping we lift the Poms hopes up like we did on the 1997 tour (lost all 3 one-dayers and the first test) then bring them back down to earth with a thud  ;D.

Watched some of the replay this arvo. Had a good chuckle when the biased commentators blamed England's crappy fielding on the way the grass had been mowed.  ;D  ???
I reckon they'll dream up enough excuses for a book before the Aussies head home.

A tied final sets up the Ashes nicely.

How good was McGrath last night :bow. That'll teach the Poms for making dodgy pitches with uneven bounce  :thumbsup.
