You asked a question

I answered it

You didn't ask how or why

Just if people had quit

Thanks  ;D

the how part

Just stopped one day

Thought:

1/ what a waste of money

2/ And having watched people close die of smoking related illnesses ... well didn't want to end up like that

Fair to say that I am now one of the biggest anti-skoming advocates around, won't even let people smoke in our house

Bottom line is if you really want to quit, you will quit no matter how tough it is

Sure!

Yeah similar to WP thought but I likened it to being single and going out. Importantly it was not about the money but more about the effect it has long term.

Now I have about 1 or 2 a year around festive season and feel sick every time and don't even finish it.

Never hit the patches or anything like that.

Anyone see that 60 min special of that Greek Island where average age is 90 odd and some old bloke smoking at 100.

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

Never smoked. Seeing my late Dad get his lungs pumped out  :-X in the intensive care unit of the Western General Hospital after he had a respiratory arrest when I was 11, was enough to put me off smoking for life.
