Wasn't 1995 a result of the drafting KB did while he was coach?

Fiora was Spud's first pick.

Obviously our recruiting now is the best it's ever been (not that that's hard compared to our past  :P) given we are properly investing in it but I thought in hindsight we didn't do too badly in KB's time given we were flat broke as a Club. We were forced to recruit country kids as they were the only ones we could afford yet snagged the likes of Knights, Cambo, Benny Gale, Maxfield and a large chuck of the core that would eventually play in the '95 finals. Sadly our recruiting went to the dogs from the mid 90s to the late 00s.

Guess you could say Hardwick's guys haven't made a stuff up with 1st picks as of yet.

Admittedly I don't think half of Wallace's picks were that bad (Cotch, Jack, Lids, Vickery).

But my god it hurts to know that in 2004 we could have had either two of Roughead/Griffin/Franklin (#1 and #4), as well as lower picks like LeCras too. Shallow draft though IMO.
