We play Footscray at the Whitten Oval as the VFL season opener.

The VFL fixture will be unveiled on Tuesday.

Bendigo Advertiser is reporting that Richmond VFL and Bendigo Gold will play in Bendigo on Saturday August 9th under lights at QEO (Queen Elizabeth Oval)

Yes

7 games are "curtain raisers" = VFL games at PRO before AFL games at the MCG

They are (VFL round listed)

NB: Round 9 = before the Dreamtime at the G game,  the VFL games is 2pm AFL game doesn't start til 7.45pm
