Herald-Sun says Lennon followed by Arnot.

YOUR CLUB'S LEADING RISING STAR CANDIDATE

Richmond

Man to beat:
Ben Lennon

Smokey: Matthew Arnott

Tigers love to slot their kids straight in and lennon adds much-needed class and x-factor to forward flank. Has a dynamite right boot.

I would like to see 3-5 nominations. Arnot, Lennon, McDonough, McBean and Elton.
And you may not think I care for you

i have to be honest and admit i really liked the look of this kid as a running defender who could play on talls and smalls and defend well as well.
on the rising star award we dont have a player who will go close. not even lennon. it wont be until he can go thru the midfield and impact games enough  before he gets recognition.
my tip for the award would be a player like scharenburg. maybe even sheed.

Martin has to be raging hot favourite, he has already spent a year training with the Suns. He'll slot straight in.

The word I have from a mate who umpires in the NEAFL is that Martin is nowhere near as advanced as O'Meara was.  He doesn't think he is a walk up start on the Suns list.
