is he taliking about the backlie turning it over or turn overs in general.

if the backline its easy to see why he would be talking about that area  with petterd morris, rance, chaplin, and houl under pressure and so one sided.  you dont have to look too hard to understand what has to be done in this area. they are all suspect by foot.

Dimma was referring to our overall turnovers. Because of the style of play we use we don't tackle as much as other teams so I would suggest this would have an impact on this statistic. I love to hear that we are continually evolving our game plan and players. I have more faith in our coach and our administration than I have in years at present.

Stripes the message that's being put out by everyone at the club is one of on going improvement.From dimmas speech at the B&F to even Peter burge (is that his name) the chief fitness dude,who said that last year they only did 80% of the program and that this year he will up it to the full 100%.
And today Dimma highlighted particular deficiencies in the game,things many here have been saying also.
You cant fault the club at the minute they are saying and doing all the right things

This goes back to our lack of quality smart small/crumbing forwards. Our small forwards don't know the meaning of being 'front and square'  . We rely more on our tall forwards and mids pushing forward for our goals. We direct our mids to often kick deep to the pockets as a defensive forward measure so if we don't take a mark, the ball at least goes out of bounds and we can reset from a throw-in which from memory we are No.1 in the AFL from scoring goals from. If you have quality smart small forwards who are front and square and on the move, you can direct the mids to kick more often to the top of the goalsquare and they can crumb of the pack at pace and goal a la KB style.

Maybe we should of drafted to fix this .  Nah people would of said our drafting was horrible if we did this.

Totally agree.
I would love to see the goals kicked against us from clanger kicks coming out from the backline.
Meaning the turnovers turning directly into opposition goals.

You watch geeloong and hawthoorn, their turn over is minimal and when the turn over has happened, they then mop up extremely well.

This area to be fixed up won't win games, but will force more pressure on an opposing team to work harder in the forward line. Therefore creating greater confidence for us pushing the ball forward more fluently.
