That's probably about right. Rance is one of the best defenders in the AFL now , however I don't have much faith in these rankings after they named Houli as elite last year.

They're elite for their position, Rance is in the top 10% of defenders, not all players.

My list for elite tigers is:
Cotchin
Deledio
Reiwoldt (wouldn't be surprised if he plays off a half forward flank this year)

Potential elite players but not there because of age are:
Martin
Ellis
Conca
Vlastuin

Not a bad midfield rotation there

Loads of Bgraders (Rance, Houli etc)

Stripes, I don't believe that Houli is underrated. He is a good footsoldier Solid B grader. His limitations are one sided, his short kicking and occasionally short steps a hard contest. His strengths are his long kicking, his handballs (awesome) and his defensive work.

No but none are elite at this stage. Cotchin is a ball butcherer, Lids goes missing all the time and Martin is not consistent and is also a ball butcherer.

well by that measure which is fine, there are no other elite players in the comp as ablett is on another level
