2014 the drought will be ended and the 11th Tin Mug will finally land in the Trophy Cabinet at Punt Road.

geez carlton and essendon where will they finish. ill do some basic stats on them.
first carlton best 22 give or take ,  plus depth in    2014 imo.

B:    Walker 27yo/165gms/ 190cm/90kg  -  Jamison 27yo/118gms / 193cm/98kg  -  Tuohy 24yo/54gms / 187cm/91kg

HB: Scotland 33yo/264gms /  182cm/82kg  -  Watson 21yo/16gms  / 195cm / 100kg -  Everitt 25yo / 79gms / 194cm / 89kg

C:   Carazzo 30yo /164gms /  187cm / 85kg -  Mclean 28yo/141gms  /  184cm/85kg  -  Gibbs 25yo/155gms  / 188cm/86kg
R:  Warnock 27yo/70gms / 206cm/104kg  - judd 30yo/259gms / 189cm/89kg -  murphy 26yo/165gms / 180cm/82kg.

HF: Thomas 26yo/157gms / 185cm/86kg - Henderson 24yo/84gms  /  196cm/96kg  -  Robinson 24yo/88gms  /  185cm/86kg

 F:  Garlett 24yo/98gms  /  180cm/75kg  -  Waite 31yo/168gms  /  194cn/95kg  -   Kruezer 24yo / 105gms  / 200cm/103kg

INT: Simpson 29yo/200gms  /  182cm/79kg  - Curnow 24yo/51gms  182cm/84kg  - Bell 22yo/16gms 187cm/96kg  -  Yarran 23yo/84gms  /  180cm/84kg

  Menzel 19yo/7gms 187cm / 78kg  / Cripps 18yo/0gms 193cm/81kg  -  Lucas 22yo /188cm/83kg   -  Docherty  20yo/13gms / 184cm/84kg  -  Mcinnes  22yo/16gms / 191cm/87kg.
Armfield 27yo/105gms  / 181cm/82kg -  Graham 19yo/2gms / 182cm 80kg.  Duigan  29yo/43gms/186cm/88kg.

the top 22 has lots of height and size.it has heaps of experience with a lot of players in the mature up  age bracket, and theres a lot of 100 plus gamers. imo its a flexable side as well with the tall options.
experience games and  age wise they need to make finals, they have very good structure but they lack numbers overall in talls ruck/kpd/kpf  right across the board. they can ill afford a poor run of injury to their talls. imo like a lot of sides lack of depth and the lack of  games in to enough younger blokes will probably catch em out.

will do essendon later.

cant believe i left out the onballers.

Your Top 8 and Premiers for 2014?
Sydney - Premiers  :P
Fremantle
Richmond  :pray
Hawthorn
Carlton
North
Collingwood
Port

First coach to be sacked or quit?
Bomber Thompson lol.

Who will win more games - Melbourne, St Kilda or GWS?
Hard to split. Say GWS - a la Suns 2013.

Where will the Tigers finish?
At least 2nd week of the finals if we want to claim we have taken the next step.

I stopped reading when you had Carlton in the top 8.
Well they beat us in the finals :banghead. Never underestimate a Malthouse coached side as far as making the finals. Even when they finish ninth, they still make it  :scream.

The only ones I hesitated about were West Coast and Adelaide and whether they would improve to regain their old-school home ground advantage. Hard to argue for them when the Eagles' midfield was one of the slowest last year and Adelaide's forward line was one of the worst with no reliable forward targets. Even with Walker back, they still at best will be too one-dimensional.

they beat us twice and port twice.
lost to ess twice by less than a kick. they beat the best team outside the 8 in north.  they were within 17 points of coll, geel, and hawthorn.
their biggest losses  was 41 points to coll and 36 to freo.
seems they were pretty competetive in most games.

i remember well 2012 and  richmond.

on adelaide

walker podsiadly, lynch who had a good season a break out season in some ways  and a bloke i am impressed with in jenkins who will play the second ruck/for  role, throw in betts a fit porplysia and their forward line looks as good as anyones almost.
its not the forwards who will let adelaide down if they stay healthy but a lack of midfield depth that will bite em if anything.
structurally i think them a very good side.
