Matthew Lloyd has tipped the Bombers to make the top four this season.

Like most pundits, Lloyd expects Hawthorn, Fremantle and the Sydney Swans to be the teams to beat in the race for this year's premiership.

And he thinks Geelong, North Melbourne and Richmond will fight it out with Essendon for fourth place on the ladder.

Bombers top 4  :rollin. At least Lloyd is consistent when he's wrong  :wallywink.

I'd like Lloyd to explain who is going to kick a winning score for the Bombers this year? Crameri has gone, Bellchambers is injured long-term and Hurley will be in the backline. That leaves only a raw Daniher in only his second year and Carlisle playing forward permanently rather than as a 2nd half pinch hitter. Essendon will probably be May premiers again  :sleep before crashing and burning out of the Eight as they usually do.

What is concerning is the amount of flogs backing norf for the flag. Last I checked they finished well out of the 8

AFL 2014 win predictions: will your team beat the line? (Herald-Sun)

AFL 2014 win predictions: will your team beat the line?

    Herald Sun
    February 17, 2014 11:48AM

AFL writers Jay Clark, Sam Landsberger and Gilbert Gardiner predict how many matches your team will win in 2014.

RICHMOND

Sportsbet line: 13 wins

Clark: Over $1.88

Like North, the Tigers are one of the challengers with a realistic chance of jumping into the top-four. A soft draw and the addition of Shaun Hampson to provide some ruck support for Ivan Maric helps their cause. Elite midfield showed it can beat premier Hawthorn. Won 14 last year and should be better.

Landsberger: Over $1.88

Like the Crows, kept coming back with an even 14 wins for the Tiges. This is impossible to split. So, take the value and join the Tiger Army.

Gardiner: Over $1.88

On the right track to push for a top four spot, but a lot depends on the Tigers overcoming bogeys Carlton, North Melbourne and Essendon. Tigers remain a dangerous betting proposition for mine, capable of 13 wins but prone to shock losses. Not for my money.

What an idiot. How many shock losses did we have last year? Did we win 14 games or 15 ? Is Essendon our bogey side ? What an idiot.
