Tigers biggest Achievement in 2014
« on: January 11, 2014, 07:48:18 PM »
This is the time for the pain in the arse cats to get beaten by the Tigers.
This will shape the rest of our year and the futrue of the club, and that shape will be greater success.

Ok you got me, I just want to beat the bloody cats.
I'm reckon on some level the players feel that way too, even if it is in their subconscious.

Since 1991 we've beaten them 6 times.
That's 6 wins from 33 matches  :banghead :banghead :banghead.

This is going to end starting the year.

This will be our biggest achievement for 2014 (except for when we win the flag of course).  :jump

Oh, and I reckon we will beat them for two reasons.
1. We're classy enuff
2. Geelong won't make the finals this year.

Time to beat ...

Geelong
Collingwood
North
Carlton
Essendon - Dreamtime at the 'G

We owe them.

Oh and make the finals and win at least one of them.

Win enough games to be top four.  Doesn't really matter who you beat.
Then anything can happen!

What I want to see is the Tigers having the ability to beat top sides, not just through pure luck or having a good day at the office win.
I want teams to say sh!!!!!!!!!t we got the Tigers this week.

I want to get to the finals and actually have a chane.
Last year, getting into the finals was pointless (apart from a bit of experience for the boys), winning a GF was never going to happen. Just making up the numbers is crap and if you are no chance of winning a premiership DON'T BE THERE.

So when we make the finals this year, and we WILL, I want to go in as a force not a bumper sticker at the arse end of the pack.

I think that if we can beat geepong and collingpoo early in the year, it will set up the rest of the year.

Someone has to finish 6th , 7th and 8th !  Real hard to win a flag from there I know but it's a hell of a lot better than not playing finals like 10 other teams had to endure last year.

Regarding Geelong , it didn't help that we were one of the few teams who had to play them at Kardinia park EVERY year.  They're getting a bit older now. Our time will come to beat them consistently.

Personally it's Carlton that are causing me the most pain. They were fairly crap last year and everyone else seems to able to beat them except us. Yeh I know we beat 'em in round 1 but we were a tad lucky. Round 17 we were toying with them in the first qtr but somehow still lost. Then came that final  :banghead
