Richmond is in the market for a tough small defender, after pinpointing small forwards as a big obstacle for the club in its mid-season review last night.
Tigers coach Terry Wallace said with the likes of Stephen Milne, Matthew Lappin, Ashley McGrath, Adem Yze and Phil Matera having kicked bags of five goals against Richmond this season, someone had to emerge or the club would recruit a ready-made defender to handle the goalsneaks.
"I've spoken to Greg Miller and asked him to find me a 22-year-old who is defensively tough and will do a job on small forwards. They'd get a 10-year career with the club," Wallace said. "It's either got to come from here, or come from outside of here, so if you think you can fill that role, we desperately need it at the footy club."
