Edwards put on weight before last season and went backwards.

Physical strength has never been, nor ever will be, a strength of his.

Agility is his best attribute, and you cant have bulk and agility.

OMFG.... :lol
please explain?

Pretty sure he's saying massive bulk doesn't affect sprinters in the Olympics so it shouldn't affect Shane Edwards.
FFS can't you see that?
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Well...you had better let all other codes of sports know that one al, Rugby, UFC, Boxers, Olympians.....and you reckon my comments don't make sense.

There are some big framed sportspeople out there pal and they are extremely agile!!!!

BTW with or without his "bulk" :lol.......he has amounted to nothing more than a fill in player.

seriously?

who is more agile? Garlett or cloke?

Some big men may be agile, for a big man, but smaller lighter framed players will generally run rings around them, literally, when it comes to agility.

simple laws of physics will tell you that more mass, that hardier it is to stop quickly and or change direction quickly.

@Hard Roar Tiger, not sure if you are taking the pee or not, but sprinters have speed, not agility. They run in a straight line from point A to B as fast as possible, which is not agility.

Shank only ever adds weight/muscle to his arms and upper body. Still has the same chicken legs he's always had.

Elton 197/100.
Darrou 190/97.

Wouldn't mind seeing these dudes play in the NAB. Sounds like they have some bulk now. And will be interested to see if Griffiths and Astbury have progressed at all or if it's all just fluff-talk.

I'd like to know when we last had 6 players on our list over 200cms - we might see 4 of them in the side at once this year with Hampson, Vickery,McBean/Griffs and Maric all looking like options.

Wonder if Foley or Kingy have ever been shortest on our list before?

We look tall for the first time in a few years  :thumbsup
