Tommy is currently in rehabilitation, but is expected to be released next week.

The four-time Richmond premiership coach and Tiger ‘Immortal’ is focusing his full attention on his recuperation, using his renowned discipline and positivity, and is not available for any comment at this stage.

The entire Richmond Football Club extends its very best wishes to Tommy for a speedy recovery.

We encourage people to send their well wishes to Tommy’s website, www.tomhafey.com.au , or email him at tom@tomhafey.com.au.

“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

I too have met Tommy a few times through my wife. And every time she says "How are you Tommy" and he replies the same every time, "good love, but only getting better"
Get well Tommy.
