todays live stream
« on: March 07, 2014, 07:50:24 PM »
Yet again, the rfc website struggled with the stream today (unless you are from ny  ::). Again. As pre-empted by the fans. Again.

Many of us forced to watch the game on the essendonfc website.

Why does this keep happening and why does the club representatives keep feeding us bs and sweeping the issue under the carpet? Last I checked its 2014 not 1998.

Its bloody poor form.

We deserve better. Ffs  :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead

In "only could happen to us" news, there were three feeds today; AFL, Essendon and Richmond all run out of AFL Media HQ.

Guess which was the only one to go down?

We paid for a service and the service wasn't great, we might look at a different supplier for next time.

Who would have thought. What a co-oincidence  ::)

Rather than throwing darts in the dark and pretending to innovate, why dont you stick to what works for other clubs sites?

Yeah lets be more like Collingwood and have RFCO in a dark room making up scores and what happens in a live chat. FFS at least the club is putting in some effort unlike the "biggest" club in the land.  :banghead :banghead

Also, liking the new quote in your sig Coach.  :clapping

RFCNT or whatever his name is is employed under the guise of damage control.

The sentiment echoed by the majority In this thread is genuine angst.

It's warranted.

It's one thing to provide an unprofessional service but to continually defend such a farcical attempt at professionalism is insulting to the intelligence of the consumer and only discredits those involved.

It alienates.

Jack - what's with the arse licking ?

The boys have a valid stuffn point.

I don't approve of singling out the bloke. He's trying to do his job but I draw the line at having my back peeed on and being told it's raining.

Its a stuffing joke, so much in fact that the website resembles a Shitman country league competition.

FFS, the videos only load intermittently and this is in actuality a club that has the third highest number of paid members in the competition.
We get enough rubbish from the coach and players in the media.

How is that good enough?
It stuffen ain't !!

This sort of crap has been going on for years.
They have no stuffn idea.

Treat us like assholes and well poo on you.

Get your poo together because it's a stuffn embarrassment.

Thems the facts.

Caracella and Balmey.

Sure Dr.Sheesh  :lol

Cant this club get anything right?

First I thought I was watching a silent movie with color and no piano music.

Now the video feed is gone.

What next?

Amateur hour at its best.

Come on down RFC.

Sheeesh!

As per my initial post, that's exactly what we did. Essendon and us paid for the coverage together, AFL Media split the stream so each club could have a different messaging at the breaks. Our encoder back at HQ broke for some reason, our feed went down and in the last quarter they had to switch ours to the AFL general feed to get it to work.

The level of technical involvement on RFC's end was: send us the bill.

We paid for a service that wasn't great. The week before we had a different supplier and it worked really well.
