Who'll play on Hird?

Who'll get the job on Hird?

Joel seems the obvious choice height/weight wise. Then again Wallace could be daring and give Thursty the job after doing  pretty good job on O'Loughlin.

Poor James baby needs hitmen to protect him.  Zantuck could surely provide Sheeds with those.

i dont think joel will play on hird. joel isnt that accountable and is our free loose player in defence playing that sweeping rebounding role. i think chris newman or chubba will get the gig.

if hird plays midfield, TUCK  is the obvious choice, as he has the weight and height to match him and tackles hard!!!!

if hird plays defence, i think he wil play on PETTIFER,  and try to rebound and exploit him to set plays from half back, thats where pettifer will need to be smart and drag him deep into our forward line.

if he plays fwd, CHUBBA must have first crack at hird as he is taller and slightly heavier, plan b would be newman, ok newman is giving away 5cm and a dfew kgs but has the ability to match him. Thursfield is plan c, he is taller than hird but unfortunatley 13kgs too light 4 him.

I must say I wouldn't be surprised if Chaffey is given first crack at the job seeing he is deemed our number 1 tagger. IIRC he has done OK on him in the past.

If Hird goes in the middle I wouldn't be a bit surpsie if they gave the job to Coughlan

I agree WP,

In Hird's current frame of mind an annoying player like Chaffey would be ideal. Who did the Roos have on him? Was it his direct opponent that was giving him the Tommy's or was it another player? AK is more athletically suited to Hird but he's more of a quiet achiever. I also agree that we shouldn't tie Joel down to a tagging roll on Hird.

A few Roos came to the party by the look of it tiga lol. Rawlings tagged Hird btw. To quote a bombers' fan on bomberblitz - "Rawlings bumped, wrestled, grabbed and belted Hird all night."

Thanks MT, With that in mind, the Chaffster would be the best bet in my book.  :thumbsup
