Yep messing around with players best positions could be the undoing of the coach and his assistance unless he wakes up.

Smartest comment you have ever made on this forum and more than likely in your life!!

out- houli,grigg,edwards,petterd, king, foley, newman.
ins - helbig, deledio, lennon, knights, lloyd, miles, hampson.

Foley going well

Getting dropped despite not even playing
Claw must really think he is going badly. Dropped from the VFL team I assume! :gobdrop
apologies foolishly  without thinking i named regular players who just are not going to take us forward anymore. im no different to any other poster and look like a doofus at times.

need to add one to the list of outs in vickery how i missed that spud sums up that post.

id be more than happy with the following team. wont happen in a hundred yrs but the 8 i have in the gun deserve to be in the gun no one would be surprised if any one of em got dropped.
but  for two or three not available  id say it would be close to our best and it would be more than competetive. naming miles is nothing more than wishful thinking on my part.

B /  Morris - Chaplin - Grimes.
HB/ Helbig - Astbury - Vlastuin
C /  Deledio - Martin - Ellis.
HF/ Knights - Griffiths - Lennon
F / Hampson - Riewoldt - Lloyd
R / Orren - Thomas - Cotchin
INT/ Jackson - Miles - conca - Gordon.

claw,

Miles isn't an option

He is a rookie who hasn't been promoted so cannot play AFL until he is.

there is no spot on our list to enable us to promote him unless we put someone on the LTI list; which clearly the club has no intention of doing. throw in the fact that you have to put a player on LTI for a minimum of 8 weeks, then we don't have anyone who fits the criteria

Personally would love to see him get an opportunity but as it stands right no he isn't an option

Our dilemma lies in development.

Guys across the board are only hitting 70% of ability.

That's why other clubs with less talent smack us.
Their dud guys give 90-100.

That and the psychological weakness that hasn't been successfully addressed since Rudi Webster was at Punt road.
Caracella and Balmey.

cmon wp. if you read the whole of the post i did say miles was wishful thinking.
its still 7 changes without miles and im totally sure in the long term we would be better off. the only trouble is its a week to week thing at richmond and the longer term is again being overlooked.

What a stupid decision it was to not put Maric on the LTI and promote Miles

Almost as stupid as giving Foley a three year contract when his achilles was shot and he hadn't played a game for a 12 months and it was more likely than not he would never be close to the same players again. Then you drop him for the finals anyhow ?  I'll never understand all that.
On another note , had a chat with a not too long retired former tiger player yesterday. The mail I got is that Jake KIng won't play this week. Will be listed as being injured but being out of favour would be closer to the mark.
We'll see what happens at seletion tonite

Lids on LTIL and bring in Miles, just sounds to me like Lids injury will get worse before it improves, no confidence in the information given out by the club in relation to injuries of late, really hope its not one of these minor, turning into moderate turning into serious turning into season ending injuries.
