Wallace and Thursfield on Sport 927 (audio)
« on: July 05, 2005, 05:04:32 AM »
Terry Wallace joined Prime Time Sports Monday morning to chat about the nail-biting win over the Swans at the MCG on the weekend. They remain inside the top eight with 8 wins and 6 losses.
Terry Wallace Audio

* Happy to score a win to keep our momentum going.

* In our first 9 weeks we were 2nd in the AFL in clearances; in our 4 losses we dropped to 16th. Improved over the weekend and had our best tacklin game in the first 3 quarters. Not getting our hands first on the footy was the story of the last quarter.

* Last fortnight he's been able to see Essendon at their best against the Saints then knocked over by the Roos. So can study both games.

* Richo - not a problem with his knee.

* Knobel - over the flu. Back this week.

Andrew Kuuse caught up with Richmond's first-gamer, Will Thursfield who did a good job playing on Michael O'Laughlin.
Will Thursfield & Andrew Kuuse Audio

* Will speaks very confidently in the media for someone doing his first interviews.

* His parents were also interviewed for club corner last night. Will was born in England and came to Oz with his parents when he was 3. His English rellies have got no idea what Aussie Rules is so Will's parents will send a video or dvd of the game to show what Thursty now does for a living.
