Summary

Having suffered their first loss of the season against Port Adelaide last weekend, the Cats get the chance to redeem themselves against a Richmond side that has fallen in an almighty hole. The two sides' recent form and the history between the clubs over the past three decades suggest that this will be a one-sided affair. Since the start of the 1984 season, Geelong and Richmond have met 46 times. The Cats have won 38 of them, including the last nine on the trot.

Can we just forfeit this, honestly it would be less embarrassing.

Lamb's to the slaughter, a bloodbath, so many ways to describe what's going to take place this weekend. The club has now played their get out of jail injury card, what spin will they apply after a 100+ loss. We all know we won't win this weekend but we need to see a change in mindset, game style and overall effort otherwise all faith will be lost in the current regime, if it hasn't already been after the Hawks fiasco.

Here's how things will pan out 10 mins into the first quarter it will be 2 0 12 apiece with commitment okay and ball movement not as scrubby as we've seen it by quarter time Geelong will be 3 goals up.

In the second quarter we'll get some footy but our stTic movement will be easily repelled by Kelly, Mackie, Bartel and co who just know no other way and despite kicking a few majors in the quarter the margin will be in the vicinity of 5 -6 gaols.

The second half will see more of the same as the first and Richmond will suffer a best case scenario of 61-72 points so if its the footy Quad game or the Quarter quad game there you have it place your bets.

If of course Geelong want to make a statement and they usually do against us after their defeat yesterday against Port expect a hiding of a much bigger nature where blokes like Burberry, Horlin Smith and other new faces to the Cats line up will learn that when they play us these are the types of margins they will be beating us by for the rest of their careers or for most of it anyway except e odd year we have a rebuild that coincides with a slight decline in their performance like 2012 when we threw everything at them but still lost because they know how to beat us with their eyes closed.

I never miss games. Missed 2 MCG games since 95 due to weddings.

I reckon I'll choose as sit at home with my 2 month old rather than put up with another circus performance like Sunday. Not even entertaining to watch, which is the saddest thing.
Go Tigers!

Spot on. I can handle losing. Sure as hell sat through enough of them over the years. But we are playing a horrid brand. The best bit on Sunday was watching us drag Hawthorn down towards our level and look like poo too.  :lol

If I hadn't already bought a reserved seat ticket I wouldn't be going

An important step for the players this week is to play attacking footy irrespective of the score. I dont care if we lose by 100 points if we ourselves kick say 12 or 13 goals. But I will be angry if we lose 100 points and we only kick say 7 or 8 goals for the game. Play on at all times, run hard and play tough aggressive footy is what I want to see. Not the crap we have put up since the start of the season.
