Richmond brings VFL home this Sunday

Richmond will bring football home to Punt Road Oval at the ME Bank Centre this Sunday, May 4, when the VFL team plays its first game at its home ground.

The VFL Tigers will take on Geelong’s VFL team at 11.30am, in a curtain raiser to the AFL’s game against the Cats at the MCG in the afternoon.

Due to the ongoing redevelopment works around Punt Road Oval, there will be a reduced capacity of 2500 people able to access the venue. Unfortunately, the Jack Dyer Stand is also currently inaccessible, which means seating undercover is unavailable.

For fans that cannot attend the match, Richmond will live stream the game with full commentary and score updates on its website richmondfc.com.au, or fans can tune into Richmond VFL Radio via the Club’s official app.

In both our homes. Spiritual and modern.

They might be able to sell some gimp suits in the Superstore for the weekend.

There's a capacity of 2,500 due to healthy and safety rules. Once we hit that mark we will be closing the gates.

Fair enough

Though, considering the week the club has had and people are feeling right now I don't think folks are going to be overly impressed if they get locked out  :-\

Personally, not even going to try and get it. Don't need anymore frustration from the RFC  ;D

Understand completely, as a result we aren't going over the top in promotion. We also have to follow work safety laws.

Live VFL webcast v Geelong
« Reply #14 on: May 03, 2014, 11:07:06 AM »
Hi all, we will run a live video webcast tomorrow for our return to Richmond from 11.25am, as well as still offering live VFL radio.

Full info here: http://tige.rs/1pYMV9y

If you watched our practice match live stream v Sandringham, we will be using that provider and not the one from our practice match v Essendon, so we expect a better quality product. Hope you can tune in.
