club has turned to poo and it would be nice if we heard from her or she is afraid of getting her feelings hurt. poor thing

As expected you play the gender card Angus.

No need for it.

So I ask you if she came and said something, anything would you take it on face value or would you just fob it off as more spin or just ridicule it because she's a woman as it appears you refuse to respect the position she holds because of her gender. And the reason I say that is because every time you say anything about the president you make some reference to gender

WP our coach has spun a running commentary the last month. "need to get better at one on one's" need to lift our work rate"
us as coaches need to lift. bla bla stuffin bla.

club has turned to poo and it would be nice if we heard from her or she is afraid of getting her feelings hurt. poor thing
The coach has no choice but to bla, bla stuffin bla. He is obligated to give media interviews. I would be betting he would be a whole lot quieter if he wasn't.

After the poor club responses this week we need a new President IMHO.

The "poor club responses"

Let me see...

We've had Benny spinning, we've had Dimma saying he doesn't have answers, we've Lids' saying we can still make finals and some refreshing if not foolish honesty from Jack today

Have I missed something? Are you saying all of the above is the fault of the president?

What other "poor responses" have there been (I didn't see what Ch7 dished up last night btw)

And please tell me Ramps what exactly would a new president bring right now? Apart from giving the media more ammo to pot us

So to sum it up, you don't like the spin, the honesty, the lies or the optimism.

 :lol
Yeah we're already going to vote for him mate, you don't need to keep selling it.....

 :lol

::) Not sure why you are directing that at me, when I was asking a question of Ramps but whatever

But FWIW the problem is this ...

There has been that much spin from certain folks at Punt Road that even honesty would be taken as spin so they are better to just shut up and get on with things...

As for optimism thanks to the spin and the constant gifting of games to favourites, there isn't much that gives one optimism.

Can I make it any clearer for you  ::)

The club is full of girls WP. No gender card its a fact. exhibit A. (Edwards, Graham and Grigg). They run around like my daughters in the backyard.

male or female wish someone just changed the culture of that whole football club. March couldnt do it, peggy sue doesnt seem able to.

Get Rex and Balmy in there. Its not a kindergarten we need ruthless competitors not feel good stories

The bold bit I agree with

But with respect Angus, the current President has been in the job just on 6 months so I am not sure how she is supposed to change a culture in that time.

And please don't use Koch & Port (and he's done an outstanding job BTW) as an example because what Port needed and what we need are very different. Port were a basket case OFF fiekd but the facts are their recruiting, trading and FA targeting has been alot better than ours even when they were a basket case off the field. Their list was alot better than people gave it credit for. So what they needed was to get the coaching appointment right and get the off field stuff right. Off field is where Koch has been brillant getting them high profile sponsors. As for the coaching thing they got the right people (eg Tom Harley etc) to interview the candidates and then recommend to the board the preferred candidate.

As I said to Ramps, we don't know what's going on behind the scenes at the RFC. People are making assumptions based solely on the presons profile and them not doing their job via the media. Again you make an assumption she isn't ruthless but seriously how do you know? How do any of us know?

The current President's tenure will be defined and determined by how she leads us through this mess we currently find ourselves in and by what the end outcomes are and that is IMHO that we become a better, stronger club.

Telling us what we want to hear to appease us (the members) is not leadership, that is spin. Doing what needs to be done to get this club back to where it should be and restoring the members respect is real leadership.

That's what I want, not meaningless words

What you want to hear from the President, CEO and Football director is that we are 100% behind Hardwick and completely support the structures and plans that he has put in place.

With these comments, you know a sacking is right around the corner.

It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”
