There are currently only a handful of teams playing honest, attractive attacking footy ATM. Hawthorn, Geelong, Port, and maybe Sydney since the AFL gifted them a crème de la crème forward line (before that they were one of the worst culprits for playing negative schizen.) And Jack is on the money when he says that we tried to emulate the Hawthorn style. Dimma did learn from Clarkson after all. It worked for us to a degree last year. The problem is (a) The game has become even more defensive this year. I hoped with Freo losing the GF last year that clubs would follow the Hawthorn model, but sadly this hasn't been the case. The rolling rugby scrum is definitely in vogue. (b) Sides have collectively worked us out, that the best way to stop us is to create congestion (c) We don't have the quality to emulate the Hawthorn style which is a possession and quality disposal game anyway.
