I'd like to see the whole team that played on saturday night replaced by the whole VFL team that won Sat arvo.

If hardwick wants to find out which players can step up form the VFL he'll know pretty quick by doing so.

I can just see the likes of grigg, chaplin, edwards getting beaten in the 2's doing his same old thing.

Won't happen though.

The Barometer - Round 12
Herald-Sun
02 June 2014

RICHMOND

ON THE BLOCK: You get the feeling Damien Hardwick might find it cathartic to swing the axe this week and given finals are now out of reach, it might be time to make a statement at selection. The question is, where to start. Ben Griffiths was barely sighted on Saturday night, Shaun Hampson was subbed out, Steven Morris seems shot, Reece Conca couldn’t get his hands on it, neither could Shaun Grigg and Shane Edwards continued his inconsistent season. If Dimma really wants to make a point he could send Bachar Houli or Brett Deledio back to the magoos.

ON THE CUSP: As Hardwick pointed out, the problem is there aren’t a lot of players ready to come up from lower levels. The obvious one is Anthony Miles, who surely gets a crack against the Kangaroos after another 35 disposals in the VFL. Ty Vickery had 21 touches and is likely to return while Matt Arnot, Brad Helbig and Brett O’Hanlon did enough to deserve a run in the seniors to see if they are part of the future.

AL PATON’S FORECAST: Big crowd, season on the line, the “big three” of Deledio, Rance and Maric back … and the Tigers dish up their worst performance of the season. Richmond’s repeated failures in big games is a serious issue but the biggest problem at Punt Rd is the lack of apparent effort and passion. Jack Riewoldt has his critics but at least he looks like he cares that another year is going down the toilet. The last time the Tigers met the Roos at Etihad they lost by 10 goals, and that’s when they were playing well.

OUT

Deledio, Grigg, Thomas, Hampson, Jackson

IN

Miles, Arnot, Helbig, McBean, McIntosh

Deledio - he is soft.

Grigg - he is soft.

Thomas - not a future player.

Hampson - dumb recruiting.

Jackson - is Hardwick's pet.

This SHOULD but will not happen.

Hardwick has created a boys club and the "bum-chum" twins Deledio/Grigg are as soft as a feather.

Hardwick plays Grigg as a tagged and is justifying his position.

This year proves how much of a leader Deledio is. What happened to him going forward?

The reason Richmond are they way we have been in 32 years is because of our lack of development and coaches scared of losing, so play there favourites and hope they come through!

I would TRADE players like Vickery and Grigg and gain same picks!

Richmond Football Club: The Joke.

Why is it clear for us supporters and not for you?

Can't we have a decade of success?

Pretenders and fools!

Coach needs to change the game plan as that's the No.1 issue!

Dropping Griffiths, Lennon, McDonough, IF either one of them is dropped, Hardwick needs to GO ASAP, as he clearly has NFI!

Stick the BLOW TORCH up their "you know where" and if they don't respond, goneski!

I am looking forward to watching Harvey (unless he is out). Last year he beat us on his own. We have no one in our 'team' who can get anywhere near him, speed, passion and talent
