Why play injured players ?
« on: June 01, 2014, 08:20:28 AM »
Interesting topic is this
Coach and club are desperate ? Deluded ?
Clearly last night that Jackson and Hampson should not of played
You cannot play injured players end of story
You cannot hide them in goal square and they can be exposed as Jackson was before half time last night
Both he and Hampson limping clearly not right in warm ups
If you are going to play limping players .might as well play Vickery  ;)

Its disgraceful & people are betting on AFL games. They should lose their license for not putting the best possible side on the field. If we ran a greyhound or horse like them we would get fined & suspended. Same should apply to footballers. RFC can get stuffed cause not 1 more cent will ever come out of any of our family pockets. Bye Bye Club

How many times have I got to say this and when will people listen...

Hardwick is coaching for his career, just like Wallace, he will keep playing the Newmans, Griggs, Edwards, Foley Chaplin's and the injured "named" players like Jackson, Hampson, Deledio, Cotchin, Jack last year, the list goes on....WHY??....because he is too scared to lose games with the lesser named players and cop the flack for it if we don't get wins!!!..Miles, Batch, Helbig, Darrou (should of been elevated and played as soon as soon as Astbury went down), A.Edwards (leave him in) and there are a few others...

What don't people get about that????
DIMMA - You will be held ACCOUNTABLE...

“We are really excited about what we have brought in. We have got great depth of players that can take us where we need to go. We are just putting some cream on the top at the moment,” he said.

Shaun Hampson is the No.1 man"

Cannot believe that Hampson and Jackson played
As if the coaches knew they were injured and rolled the dice
Especially bad when you have Big O and Miles fully fit playing in the twos

I must say Hampson was clearly sore, no second efforts and looked lame.
What I want to know is this, why didn't he or Jackson pull out for the benefit of the team? Selfishness?

When Thomas was hit by the ball in the *****, he was lame for a good two minutes. Why wasn't he taken off immediately? We were effectively a man down during that time and the bummers kicked another easy goal.
Everybody at the ground saw it, so why couldn't our coaching staff?
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

You would only play if you were wanting to get rid of the coach

Was it just me or did Maric look hampered?

Either he's lost a bit of mobility since last year or is playing through the pain.

Going into a game with injured players creates more injuries to fit players who try alot harder

No there's nothing wrong with hamspud.
Except that he has no second efforts. He looks lame & sore because he's a useless footballer and its mindboggling he's playing AFL.

What's even worse is that we traded a second rounded for this potato.
The club that keeps giving.

I think this was the last roll of the dice by Hardwick for this year.  He went with his best team of experienced players because this was a game we could reasonably have a chance of winning.  The spray he gave the players isn't something he wouldn't have done unless he had nothing to lose.

Maric needs to be eased in to get match fitness.  If he is still injured its silly to play him, just sit him out.  The season is gone, everyone knows that now.

Jackson needs to be rested.  The media asked Jackson about his injury as he walked into Punt road this morning and about Hardwicks spray.  He said no comment about the spray and something or other about his injury.
