Team with kids
« on: June 02, 2014, 06:45:42 PM »
lots of people screaming out to play the kids so thought id post a team with all of our 24 and unders. with a handful of our better performed more consistent seniors to help out. ive put injured players vlastuin mcbean and astbury on the list. darrou would come into the 22  for astbury and gordon for vlastuin ive named mcbean as an emergency.

could this side be picked and played and be competetive. most of em are playing anyway so would it be a big leap to go down this path. it has maintained good structure size/height etc obviously it would lack in experience and maturity.
would people be happy with a similar type side would people be happy to go down this path.

There's some talent there. Whether or not the club has the culture to extract it is an entirely different matter. Not confident.  :whistle

Was inevitable....another in a long line of RFC one-season wonders reverting to type...

Would be more than happy going with this team. Time to get soft players out of the side and bring in players that will play for the team not for themselves (survival mode). Rance, Maric, Cotchin, Deledio, Martin, Riewoldt and Jackson are a good group that need to set the examples to youngsters listed in that team, not constantly being undermined by the likes of soft Grigg, Houli, Hampson, Chaplin and co every week. Bring it on!!

Wasn't even that good last season. 1st 10 rounds you could tell he had improved bc you didn't notice his momentum killers but he was hardly amongst our best week in week out. 2nd half of the year he was solid no qualms but a B&F in our best season on the bak of half a season of decent footy? Gee wiz giving away b&f's in packs of cornflakes.

hes not my cup of tea either. but piut a better performed mature/junior  mid into that team there are no juniors. jacko houli grigg thomas   edwards take your pick.  or we could throw williams in and crucify him.
jackson aside would you be happy to go with a side like that. its basically every player we have aged 24 or under apart from 5  aged 25 or more.
i tell ya what lets drop maric for mcbean, jackson for williams. deledio for mcintosh, morris for batchelor and riewoldt for vickery and make it a 24 and under team.
good luck getting within 100points each week.

Goes up to Grigg, Houli & Ellis - "Hey girls I'm Jake the Peg - wanna see me extra leg?"
