I think it's great. Hampson must be dirty on himself for being a lousy player at his new club, so what better way to reassure him that he is a part of the team than by trapping him alone in an enclosed space, now that he has had his rite of passage, he is one of the boys, we might get a bit more out of him.

This year is a bump in the road. We haven't been able to draft enough young talent yet to finish the rebuild completely. This coming draft will bring it a lot closer to completion and several of the stop gap recycled players who came through the rookie list will be on the way out plus a couple of the veterans. We'll have a ready made 18 year old mid to bolster the midfield plus a possible big name from another club while 3 or 4 other kids will join the senior list and hopefully a couple of young rookies. Gotta be patient with tall forwards Vickery and Griffiths. Hawkins, Schulz, westoff, cloke etc were in the exact same boat when they were 23

Most players who join new clubs play below their best in the first year. Willing to give Hampson next year to prove he was worth picking up
