Trent Cotchin on SEN

Richmond captain Trent Cotchin speaks to the boys on Crunch Time after the Tigers lost to the Swans [16 mins].

---------------------------------------------------------------

* I know that it’s been a disappointing start to the year and we’ve been doing everything we can to turn around our win-loss record. We’ll be fighting through every contest, no matter who the opposition, and making sure that we get some results on the board going into the back part of the year.

* Hopefully next year after we get a better start than what we have this year, Tiger supporters will look back on season 2014 and see it as a stepping stone for our footy club.

* We’re all developing as a group, whether that be our leadership group, our emerging leaders, or just the core group in general. We’re having those conversations that we’ve always had but they’re probably more specific now and we know exactly where we’re tracking towards. The great thing for us is although we’re 3-10, it’s a really big stepping stone that we can see is going to hold us in good stead for the future. While we’re not giving up on this year, we know that it’s going to be a really important part to building a sustainable future for us.

Just got torn a new arse on On the Couch.

Is ranked 50 out of 50 midfielders by foot this year.

And their bombs and their guns.

Not doing himself any favours trying to find positives in that way. Got to take it on the chin mate and stop spinning like dimma and the rest of the club

He'd gain a lot more respect by being honest and saying yeah terrible to kick 1 goal in 70 mins of football - endeavour was there but ultimately that doesnt give you 4 points. We've had a terrible year but we are working our backsides off and our preseason basically starts now

That's exactly what he needs to and should have said

Then the apologists, Titch fans namely want to question the Skata Cycle. Like the clubs been so successful in the last 32 years we have been spoilt.
Then ppl no think Cotch is no captain and nominate others go figure.
This crap doesn't happen at Pies, Hawks, Swans or Cats and the apologists answer is go and barrack for those clubs, club don't need you. :help

While I totally agree with your post, it's not his message, he is basically speaking on behalf of the club.
So, first things first - Peg, Benny, Dan and Dimma need to take your advise and get that message out into the media.

Then let the players play and let the off field leaders talk to the media.
It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”
