in the last 1/4 a Richmond forward was leading for the ball which was very rare occasion & the player passed it 20 feet over his head perfect to a Collingwood defender who was 10 metres behind. the comments from the spectators was priceless. They paid to see that  ;D

Richmond midfielder Daniel Jackson also showed plenty of form, finishing with 21 disposals, on return from a minor hip injury. He was among the Tigers' best and appears set for an AFL return against the Brisbane Lions next week.

Ben Lennon was impressive with 23 disposals, while Sam Lloyd was also influential at times for the Tigers and finished with 21 disposals and two goals. Ruckman Orren Stephenson also kicked two goals.

A day where they used that 1 handball too many, too many times which resulted in turnovers. not many times does the football go down the middle of the ground. Its ugly football

At least they have the seconds playing the same way as the seniors.......
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Amazing what trash is written these days. Tigers best Jackson  ;D l knew l should have filmed the game. How the hell does anyone get best not giving 100% effort. If poo games are rewared like that then that's our problem right there of playing names & not performers. These guys miss goals that l see average footballers get weekly from the same spot. they played down the wind swept side instead of using the wind protected grandstand side ( Sack the coach his a idiot) As said to me often during the day we have a bleak future & thats coming from longtime football people. don't send that poo back down here as no-one wants to watch it.  :lol

VFL Tigers beaten in country clash
John Lindon
June 29, 2014

The Tigers struggled against an efficient Collingwood side, eventually going down by 44 points in a country VFL fixture at Morwell Recreation Reserve on Saturday afternoon

The Pies kicked away late in the first term and, despite accurate conversion, the Tigers were unable to reel them in.

Strong performances from the Tigers midfield unit were a highlight in the loss. Ruck duo Orren Stephenson and Shaun Hampson combined during the match, Stephenson continued his good form with two goals and had the strongest hands of any Tiger on the ground. Hampson worked hard during the match, but didn't take his chances in front of goal.

Ben Lennon, who also booted two majors, worked tirelessly for his 23 touches in a consistent four-quarter display.

Skipper Ross Young and tough ball-winner Matt Arnot both had 30 disposals and six clearances and were solid but not scintillating.

The Tigers, who had struggled to create scoring opportunities early, hit the scoreboard more regularly in the second half but were unable to string together multiple goals to really reduce the deficit and built momentum.

Sam Lloyd (21 disposals) provided a target up forward and kicked two goals, Nick Wynne again had an influence from half back and Matt McDonough used the ball well.

Ben Darrou was a shining light in what was a tough day for Richmond’s defenders. He constantly looked to move the ball forward, spoiled well and remained composed under pressure.

The Tigers began the final term well as Cadeyn Williams snapped a terrific goal from deep in the pocket to give the Tigers hope but Collingwood held on comfortably.

Daniel Jackson (21 disposals and 8 clearances) started well but was relatively quiet in the second half.

No High Intensity. That sums up the game. In the 1st quarter told a thousands stories of where this football club is at & who is coaching the younger players & what the older players are let get away with. When l seen Jackson not willing to apply pressure walking 10 metres from a contest & then the ball going past him again to a player who l thought if he applied himself he could have stopped that & made a contest & stoppage. But NO he just seemed not interested. watched him run wide during the day while the ball was going down the other side on the boundry. Get over to the corridor & give them something. Nobody is going to use you 60 metres out of the action with your hand up stupid. & that folks summed up the day. A day where they used that 1 handball too many, too many times which resulted in turnovers. not many times does the football go down the middle of the ground. Its ugly football & not something l will bother going to watch again. No poo the locals display better football. lucky our clubs are playing tomorrow cause that just aint football. Bunch of spuds & whoever is teaching them how to play that way should pack their bags & get out  :banghead SPUDS

I was there too Monk, don't take any notice of the best players, Big O was good, no-one else showed anything.

EDIT: Actually, one youngster showed a bit. Pity he played for the Pies. Broomhead was everywhere.
