From the AFL web-site

"Meanwhile Matt Thomas has withdrawn from Richmond's side to face the Brisbane Lions on Saturday at the MCG after suffering an Achilles injury.

His place has been taken by Matt Arnot, with Brad Helbig coming in as an emergency."

Thomas, Jackson, Maric & O' Hanlon in the same side against the likes of Zorko, Taylor & Green should be interesting. Lucky it's not at Etihad.

What do they have to do with each other?

I'll simplify it for you: We are a slow side, they are a fast side.

Bit unfair to compare our onballers and ruckman against Brisbanes three small forwards

It wasn't a positional comparison, it speaks to the overall pace of the sides which is relevent all over the ground in modern football. All three can bring the ball out from defence and run through the middle they're not just camped in their forward 50 and on ballers usually follow the contests all around the ground. Thomas is out now anyway.

Yes so why not compare everyone, not just our 4 slowest and their 3 quickest?

It's the first time those four have all played together making our already slow side even slower and we also have no-one of comparable pace to their three quickest players. It was a device used to illustrate a wider point. Stop taking everything literally.

Lets hope it doesn't rain today or it might be soggy biscuit for the Tigers. I like this team - best blend of experience and young players this year
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

LOSING games is in the best interests of the RFC now. No point winning any games, it will only mean the idiots at the club think they are on the right track and they will stick with their rubbish plans and strategy leaving us in the lurch for longer. I hope we lose, the pressure needs to come onto the coach and this administration which has pulled the wool over the eyes of the supporters with rubbish moneyball strategies and all the rest of it. Its crap.

Add Mcdonough, Gordon, Griffiths and Loyd/Helbig to todays side for the rest of the season and I'll be happy regardless of results. Need to see if these guys are worth persevering with

But we've been losing and Dimma thinks we are better than where we are?  ;D
