What I really didn't like last week was his salute to the stands after kicking his 3rd or 4th goal. Arms stretched out wide with the ' how good am I ' look on his pill. Seriously Ty ?
Commentators picked up on it too. Need to play consistent , good senior footy in a team that's not near the bottom of the ladder before you pull that celebration out.

No he's not. Ty might have some talent but he doesnt have the heart to become the top line player the club is so sure he will be.

My definition of heart is busting a nut when you're having an off day, giving 100% every single time you get on the track. If you're having a dirty day and cant get involved in the play, then you get involved in other ways, pressure acts, tackling, chasing, bumping, crashing packs, shephards, basically all the little 1%ers. We must watch two different players bc if this guy isn't getting it on a platter his work rate nose dives. The difference between his best and worst is staggering - he is basically uncompetitive when he's off and sooks it up when players aren't bombing it 60 metres over his opponents head. I've said this countless times and i'll say it again, rnd 1 vs gold coast he got caught behind May 9 times in the 1st half, 9 stuffing times! He lost me that day and so did Hardwick - he wasn't called to the bench once nor was he made an example of like he should have from rnd 1. Set the standard dimma, you had a chance..

To add to that, the reason I get defensive about Griffiths is he may get less stats than vickery but I come away from most games thinking he's been more involved bc he is always blocking, tackling, chasing , bumping and doing the little things big men should be doing and for mine that shows a desire to try and contribute something.

I was at the Gold Coast game and on quite a few occasions Vickery was leading into the space behind and the ball was kicked poorly and fell short.

It wasn't a distance thing it was a foot skill thing as the ball was floating etc of the boots.

Probably the area he went wrong was being demonstrative about the poor kicking, but also quite understandable.

And when I see games live I'd argue Vickery's 1%ers are amongst the highest in the side.

Don't think we've been too harsh on Vickery, his poor form earlier in the season (also noticed by his coach) was part of the reason we've missed the finals this season. Looked like he wasn't remotely interested in playing over a course of several weeks. For whatever reason he now looks a bit more engaged. Perhaps his manager has been on the phone to other clubs?

lol the last time vickery remotely strung decent games together was 2011. either side of that yr which was nothing special hes been a disgrace.
he was pathetic last yr he was if possible even worse the yr before. every fool and his dog saw the goals in 2011 and ignored all else  and before 2011 he was gifted games hand over fist deserving barely one of them.

hes been in poor form fro much longer than just early in the season. poor form and vickery go hand in hand and is very much the norm with the big dud. ffs get him out of the club spineless weak prick that he is.
