Changes for the Eagles game?

Conca was concussed but, with the bye giving him a week off, he should be right for the trip to Perth.

Any changes?

Don't think Newman did a lot. And Foley looked lost to me/nowhere near fast enough as the sub.

Would rather see game time going into Lennon. And thought Arnot was stiff to lose his spot, although admittedly he's not quick enough vs Port.

We were seriously lacking pace and line-breakers today.

Out:
Newman
Foley

In:
Lennon
? McDonough (pace for Patterson's)

McDonough isn't that quick...if you want pace bring in Gordon...or upgrade Banfumbles and bring him in.

Lennon went off injured last night - not sure how he pulled up.

Yeah Gordon was my other thought but not sure how he's tracking.

What happened to Lennon?

Some kind of leg injury I think, don't know exactly but he limped off before half-time and didn't return.

The Barometer - Round 18 (prior to bye weekend)
Herald-Sun
14 July 2014

RICHMOND

ON THE BLOCK: Damien Hardwick says Reece Conca will be right to face the Eagles in 11 days after he was taken off in a neck brace following a sickening hit from Matthew Lobbe. Starting sub Nathan Foley replaced him and had 10 disposals while Nick Vlastuin was quiet against Port after kicking the opening goal. Jake Batchelor remains on the fringe of the best 22.

ON THE CUSP: A great weekend all around for Richmond with the VFL side scoring a come-from-behind win against Geelong. Chris Knights played his first game in three months and starred with 20 disposals before being rested late, Matt McDonough was best on ground and Nathan Gordon and Brad Helbig were also named in the best. It’s a matter of when, not if, exciting young big man Liam McBean gets a crack at senior level after sparking the comeback with four goals and several towering marks.

AL PATON’S FORECAST: This is what Richmond fans, and the footy world, have been waiting to see all year. Winning the hard ball and moving it quickly to a hot Jack Riewoldt, the Tigers looked for all the world like a team that won 15 games last year. But an impressive win poses the obvious question - where has this effort been all year? Fielding a close to full-strength side including with Brett Deledio and Ivan Maric finally back to their 2013 form certainly helps. And Alex Rance is quietly putting together a season that could challenge for All Australian selection despite missing six games, claiming another big scalp in Jay Schulz.
