The fix was in. They didn't want Fyfe to win.
Rounds 17-20 Richmond wins 4 games in a row against Port , West Coast , GWS and Essendon. All very good wins. We were the much better team and drew away to win fairly comfortably in all of them.
The ONLY game that we were awarded the 3 votes was against GWS. The other three games the 3 votes went to Boak , Priddis and Heppel ( who just happened to be three of the more fancied chances at their respective clubs )
No ****ing way those players were BOG against us in those games.
 RIGGED !!

Now there's a conspiracy theory I can believe!!   ;D

I could kinda give Boak the 3 points because he did try to haul them over the line. But Priddis getting 3 when Deledio and Martin absolutely killed it is a joke. I thought Cotch or Martin was deserving of the 3 points against the bombers.

Round 23 vs Sydney

3. Deledio
2. Rance

Total:

Cotchin  18
Martin   13
Deledio   12
Ellis       9
Riewoldt 7
Miles      4
Rance    3
Conca    2
Vickery  1

Why dont defenders get votes. Rance is key to us yet he gets 3 votes

+1 on this. Considering JR went on record to say Rance in defence was the best game he's seen a footballer play I'm lost for words as to why Rance didn't get 3

he had 18 tackles that game and without him we would've won by 10 goals easily. Can see why he got the 3.

Priddis was a worthy winner, has been a consistently elite inside mid for several years now - extremely underrated. Maybe if we put some girly blonde locks on him he'll be a gun? Bc he's the same type of player as heppell only much better at the role -  yet one is talked up as a worthy AA and brownlow chance, whilst the other is overrated.

And in such a low scoring game he didn't kick any goals. Martin kicked 2. Deledio was cruising along the wet ground like a duck on water and if Champion Data made the metres gained stat I'm willing to bet Deledio's 26 posessions or Martin's 25 had more effect in the general scheme of the game. He played well yes, but I don't think the 3 votes was justified.

Clearly not justified. We totally outplayed them. We had the best players on the ground. Same against Essendon , same against Port.
Let's have a look at the rest of the season. How many games did we poll the 3 votes in when we were well beaten ?? I'm guessing none....and rightly so.

Yep Im not saying he definitely deserved the 3, I agree with you that Lids was BOG, but I can see how he was given the 3 votes, not a massive blunder imo

Heppel v Priddis comparison is not apt. Priddis is superb in the clinches but slow and unskilled on the outside, to the extent that until mid way through this year at least, he polarized west coast fans. Heppel is nowhere near as rugged in close but is a far more polished user. Pretty different players.

Not at all willy, I beg to differ - Heppell cannot kick more than 40-45 and his kicks lack penetration, he just disguises it well by always going the short easy option. He does NOT break lines with run(he is slow) or his kicking and this season he has established himself as a very good inside mid who finds the ball so the comparison vs other inside mids that are ball magnets like Priddis is justified imv. Don't fall for the hype - have you seen him striding out at speed and putting it lace out? he chip. chip chips and accumulates and tbh I get really frustrated when I hear so called experts taking about his exquisite skills.
