If it were up to you who would you want to see moved on at the end of the season?

At the end of 2006 we should have a 7 ot 8 player cleanout.

Same here John. Tivs will have to be traded as he's still contracted for another year. We still need one more clean out IMO but we have too many kids at the moment to do it this year.

If Cambo wants another year then he can stay just for his leadership and smarts for the young kids.

Welcome to OER CB  :cheers

Tough one as he has improved over the last 10 weeks as a tagger and we need one

Quote
Graham

Wouldn't be at all surprised if he plays on in 2006 - if he wants too. We need the experience and leadership

Quote
Moore

Too early to say. Can play forward or back (granted he struggled yesterday) - an old fashion utility player. Certainly needs to bulk up fair bit. Lost a bit of weight when he broke his jaw

Roach

Don't know to be honest :P

Archibald

I don't think so because he really hasn't had an opportunity. I'll try and explain... I see this as Archie's first season in the sense that the 2005 pre-season was his first full pre-season after having a really severe case of OP and I mean really severe. I would like to see him player seniors this year and I wouldn't be surprised if he does because he's been playing well at Coburg.

Of the names mentioned:
Hilton - Has shown some form recently, Wallace might be willing to give him another year if he plays good in the last few weeks, 50/50.
Morrison - Looks on his way out, would have to get recalled and almost star in a game or to to save himself, delisted.
Tivendale - Has gone good in the last few weeks, his senior experience is needed with all the kid coming through, keep.
Stafford - Retire, delisted, traded, whichever way he won't be in Richmond's list come 2006.
Campbell - He'll either retire or play on, i hope he retires.
Chaffey - Born-again tagger, has taken a while to get used to it, and will struggle on speedy midfielders but looks to have saved himself, keep.
Graham - He will probably retire, but if he wants to play 1 more years then let him.
Moore - His 21 1/2 and hasn't done a lot, needs to show something soon, possible/unlikely delisting.
Roach - Same boat as Moore expect his younger.
Archibald - Will be given a 1 year contract next year, he will have to show something in 2006.

He will stay.

We do need a tagger and Chaffey has been somewhat decent, well for halfs at least. A few blokes that should be looked out before Chaffey. You'd hope a Jackson type would be able to replace him but no one seems ready.

1 more year on the list.

Graham

Sadly, it doesnt seem like we have anyone to replace him.

Thursfeild looks a decent back pocket/3rd tall but very raw. Again, maybe Jackson.

Keep if he wants another year.

Not a fan. Will be 23ish next season, should really be something decent by now.

Keep, hope he matures into something.

Struggling in the 2's. I dont think he will make it. Maybe a potential winger/tagger?

Keep, give 1 more season.

Struggler. Drafted as a KPP but seems a flanker/winger at best. Late, speculitve pick that seems to have not shown too much. To be fair he has been hit tough we a bad run of injuries. Not been our worst for the burgers.

Keep,  desevres to been giving a chance for another season

Mate, we are rebuilding. Remember when we culled 10/12 lads lasts season and people were saying similar numbers had got ot get rid of this year? I relise you have to keep a few mature bodies around the place but we have to move forward.

Its no good finshing 9th and struggling to get past the bottom 4 clubs and the next week being ripped a new one by anyone half decent.

Tiv, Morrison & Hilton must go for a start.

Foley will also be looked at just for the simple reason his 2 years on the rookie list are up at the end of the year and we need to decide whether to give him a spot in his own right on the senior list (which IIRC means a 2 year contract) or let him go.

From the contract list thread Moore is contracted for another year. Given a 2 year contract at the end of last year after 2 years on the rookie list.

IMO Roach is in the most danger from the rest of that list as he's gone backwards this year and is struggling at Coburg. At least Archibald has improved this year (as WP said he had OP prior to 2005). Chaffey and Graham while not being part of a future premiership team have been serviceable this year and given our young list will probably stay for one more year until replaced by a young guys coming through.

if we want anyone decent we need to trade players that have at least a reputation and some skill but not part of our future. we cant trade peanuts 4 gold. so if we want to gain a key defender so to speak we must trade good bait, thus gapsar or hall or both. chaffey has made a name as a tagger but anyone can learn that role. so he can be used as trade bait as well as tivendale. unfortunately i like hilton but i feel he wont be in th ebigger picture so he maybe be gone.

morrison - gone
hall - trade
gaspar - trade
campbell - stsy if he wants
graham - stay if he wants
stafford - stay on if he wants one more yr
tivendale - trade or delist, i know he has improved but we dont need him
hilton - trade delist
foley - keep him put him on list
thrursfield - keep him put him on list

its a tricky one because tw has a formula and he knows what oplayers he wants and what players he dosnt.
kosi at the saints is out of contract, if he dosnt sign, tigers should offer gasper and tiovendale 4 him

i know many ppl would be thinking what the , gaspar, cant trade him, well why not, everyone is tradeable for a price. say for eg wce say we want cogs and we will give u judd, i know that will never happen but its a hypo, we would be nuts not to do the deal.

we need a hard solomon type player so the tigers should try get him back over again. i know he has been undiscplined this yr but thats bec he is not happy.

after quarter time on th ew/e our defence did well, hall was a clumsy and weak at the bosy as usual but we held our own without gas or chubba

we cant trade krak, he is to valuabkle to us even when he dosnt get the ball, look against port , his hard work in the scrums was one of teh biggest reasons why we cam back, his tackling was ferocious and its a shame tha for a small kid he is the best tackler in our team

Moore's only 21 (born March 1984). I think it gets forgotten that his first year on the Rookie list he had bad OP. Pre-season of 2004 was his first full pre-season, this year was his sceond.

He showed a bit in his senior games last season but injuries this year have been a problem. The worst being the Broken Jaw - which to me is bad luck not a result of bad conditioning. suspect body etc.

On Saturday against the Power I just thought he struggled with the tempo of the game which seems to happen these days when blokes come up from the VFL - the gap it seems, gets bigger all the time. What I really want to see is he increase his size (bulk up).

21: Moore
22: Krakouer, Rodan*

24: Morrison, Tuck*
25: Hall*, Knobel
26: Hilton, Tivendale

When you take away from that group recent additions (Morrison, Tuck, Knobel), rookies (Moore, Tivs) and the fact Krakouer was selected with the 23 year olds that leaves only 3 early-mid 20s drafted players from 5 years worth of recruiting. The legacy of Geischen and Frawley  >:(. If Spud and Beck didn't get that one year right (23 year olds + Krak) we'd be totally stuffed!

Possession of the ball wins games of football for that is where the scoring comes from and for my money Krak does not get enough of the ball to warrant a place in the team
