AFL chief Gillon McLachlan has revealed club memberships are up about 10 per cent from this time last year.

Seems like the RFC membership numbers aren't keeping pace with the likes of Collingwood and Hawthorn. That's very disappointing. Its what happens though when you don't recruit any players during the trade period. Supporters lose hope and the whole club goes to pot.

No, they should never be in front of us. They're a far smaller club

Adelaide - 1.2 million people divide by 2 = 600,000 per club catchment.

Melbourne 4.2 million people divide by 9 clubs = 460,000 per club catchment

Given the popularity of the redeveloped Adelaide Oval, supporters of both SA clubs had to get in early to buy a membership with a reserved seat.
