I don't mind him on the list for another season but as long as he isn't keeping someone out of the side.

lennon is already the sub instead of in the 21
mcdonuts was probable our best player in the twos again on the weekend or there abouts
our first draft pick could be a mid, he will miss out

with newman and grigg, thats almost two senior spots not available to a good kid next year

Maybe we can rookie king nd draft only one kid again

If there was less of a favourites selection policy it'd in fact be a good thing. (Playing ones when going well. Playing two a when not) But under the current pparadigm its a worry.

Hopefully just there as depth/backup and mostly plays VFL. Bloke should have just retired after his 250th

Yep same here. No issue with him being on the list. But if he's a walk up start regardless of form it's an issue.

Is it bad that when other staff asked me what the fans thought of this I immediately thought of the negative reaction on this thread?
Social media is 90% positive, here's the other way around.

Yes it is bad and I agree with you. Not good enough!!

I have had my bad years with S.Edwards but at the end of the day I always wanted him to succeed. I do think many players in our team cop too much from people on this forum. Players that dont deserve it.

Social media would be your more 'less intense' fan base I dare stay.

Rather than those that had the misfortune of studying the list and coaching methods at a detailed level as the years roll by.

Good luck to Newman. Hopefully it doesn't mean a mcdonuts or Lennon is at footacray in 2016/going gang busters.

90% positive?

You've got a short memory RFCO, might be 90% positive after 8 wins in a row, go back and have a look at Facebook after the Melbourne game, and if this had been announced then it would have been a firestorm.

I think it is refreshing that this site doesn't just cheerlead but takes a thoughtful look at what is happening, regardless of the moment.

This place is 'Negative Central' RFC_Official. You will not get a positive reaction to anything regarding the club here at the moment. The most vocal posters now are those that want to sack the coach, get rid of players, blame the recruiters and 'death-ride' any success we have.

It's sad really but if you want proof just read through a few of the threads  :help

I'm finding it harder and harder to join in any conversation because everyone just thinks I'm overly loyal and optimistic. Even if we win posters would rather discuss the early season losses.

Have you got any ideas how to address this RFC_Official other than just go to another board? Even the site moderator is one of the vocal critical posters  :o  :shh

Apologies Stripes, glitch with my computer at work somehow caused me while quoting your post to modify it (2nd time I've had this problem in a week) anyway have recovered it back to it's original form but says I have edited it. I haven't made any changes

I'm not having a go at you RFC_official...but why does a team like Geelong get rid of a champion like Paul Chapman and Richmond seem to hang on to good ordinary players like Newman .

Ha, 90% positive of the Newman announcement only.
