A rookie.

stuff you Sydney, stuff you.
Ivan needs to use his experience and run the rookie off his feet linking up with our mids as well as pushing forward and testing the rookie's defensive game.

If Nabalan plays more than the first 30 seconds of the game I say delist Maric.

Interesting no Kennedy and no McGlynn. As Pyke is out Maric has to completely dominate the ruck if we are to have any chance of success.

Not surprising Dusty for Lennon is the only change but I'm glad we are keeping with a settled side that has been winning. No way should we bring in Vickery who hasn't played for 4 weeks.

I can't agree with you on this one MT. As I predicted, Sydney have not only gone with Buddy, Tippett, Goodes and Reid, but they've also brought in a giant 205cm ruckman to really stretch our defence. If we had Vickery-Griffiths and Maric as a three-way ruck combination it would allow us to have one always drifting back to help cover our defence, which is going to be under siege with marking options, and one going forward to take some heat off jack. And all we'd have to give up to provide this scenario is Grigg, who brings ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to the team. I'm glad Vickery is an emergency, and I'm still hoping there's a late change.

Swans midfield will be ruck roving to Maric. They are a smart group. Have to be careful here.

You have to wonder if the roles were reversed, would Pike, McGlynn and Joey be playing?

+1 on this. They will go all out and try and shark Maric's taps. But milo and Cotchin should have this covered since Kennedy is out.

I disagree on your idea only because I don't think Vickery is much of a contested mark. Not to mention he doesn't always run both ways. The team has been winning well without him and as mentioned earlier I think to keep this winning core together is our best shot at beating Sydney.

i would of thought having vickery + maric in the ruck

would be a tempting prospect with a rookie swans ruck

vickery, without dropping griffendorf
