12.04PM 1-9-2014Richmond has developed a new level of maturity within the squad this season, which was confirmed on the weekend with their win against Sydney, according to midfielder Anthony Miles.
The Tigers raced out of the gates to lead by 33 points early in the game before Sydney seemed to regain control in the last quarter.
Coach Damien Hardwick noted the team’s bravery and belief over their nine-game winning streak and Miles told SEN the way they fought back in a must-win match to make the finals was fantastic.
“They were always going to fight back, but we were rapt to get off to a great start.
“We did know they would come and to think from where Richmond’s come from in the last couple of years, obviously this is my first season, I think we are more mature the way we go about it.
“A couple of the boys were saying we probably would have lost that a couple of years ago to Sydney,” Miles said on Morning Glory.
