Something else must be behind this. Shocking news to lose him as a player, but hopefully he contributes to the club well in another way. IE coach or administrative.

Was told he was not playing vs port and had a cracked it, possibly

Hearts not in it!
But I think there might be a bit more too it, you think he may have had enough after some one telling him he isn't in the side this week?

Am I playing this week?

Well mate we got Grigg on the wing and Thomas playing inside. Looking at putting Ricky on a hbf so you won't get a game this week

Yes I think he had planned to retire this year regardless after all his injuries but was holding on to the hope that he would play one last finals series. When he was told it was unlikely that he would play on Sunday he decided to announce his retirement.

That's how I see it probably played out

for most of his career I didn't think he was much good but he was outstanding last year and everyone I know reckons he's a great bloke as well. So good luck to Jacko with whatever he chooses to do, been told he is a very smart guy .. so good luck and well done on winning b&f last year and your whole career.

Massive shame IMO. Needed his big body.

Thanks for giving 100%. Solid career on limited ability.

Bizarre..

Looks poor to be honest. At 28, after a decade of mediocrity. Tigers finally play finals 2 years in a row. Leadership group. Reigning B&F.

Makes no sense.
Go Tigers!

But if he walks surely it sounds like Brisbane, so only likely way we can get him if Bummers agree to trade if he is peeed at them and bummers have to cut their losses

2 days before we play a final.

Why this week?

Why not put the team first and wait until the end of the campaign.

I don't get it.

Horrible timing.

And what if we happen to beat Port and happen to suffer three injuries doing it.

Ordinary form IMO.
