Sounds like he is going ok, Judge believes he was after an intruder?

Not guilty

gee and i thought our legal system was pathetic

Of the murder charges but could still go for culpable homicide (similes to our manslaughter laws)

Have to say I am staggered.

Naturally it goes without saying someone sitting half a world away reading snippets in the media can form a much more informed decision than the bloke who sat through the trial listening to all the evidence.

The thought of ever been tried by a jury is truly terrifying
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Should draft him as an international rookie. Has good pace, a nice spring and he can keep his feet .........in our property room.

Was it not all on tv

So,you could be as informed as the jury

If you GAF

if the entire telecast was on tv.
if someone sat down and watched the whole trial
if that person did not have a pre formed opinion and was able to evaluate all evidence at hand in a rational manner rather than ignore facts that did suit their prejudice.
if that person had an understanding of the mechanisms of law, in particular presumption of innocence and beyond reasonable doubt, two of the cornerstones of a so called civilised legal system,

then yes perhaps they could make a decision as informed as the judge's ( i dont believe that this was a trial by jury)

but then again, if your aunty had balls......
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

FYI

The judge said that Mr Pistorius, 27, could and should have phoned the police or the private security guards who patrolled his estate before he opened fire, making it all but certain that she will convict him of culpable homicide (manslaughter), which carries a maximum sentence of 15 years, when the hearing resumes today.

He could also face lengthy prison sentences for three separate firearms charges, including illegal possession of ammunition and firing a friend’s pistol in a crowded Johannesburg restaurant.
