Disagree with a better list statement. They have a heap of B graders like us but I reckon our A graders are worth way more that theirs on the open market. Gray and Boak would be no greater than Cotchin and Martin. Riewoldt would be worth more than Westhoff. Rance more than Carlisle.
They have a better leader than we do. Boak is class. Also they have a heap of match winners. We probably have 1, maybe 2 in Martin and Riewoldt. Deledio is a bit like Pavlich and misses big goals quite a bit. He'd be close but Lids goes missing a bit when the game is their to be one. Certainly has done great things but not known to be a consistent match winner. Jack and Dusty win games when its on the line. If they are up and about when its needed, we can win off their ability.
Port have, Boak, Wines, Wingard, Monfries and Westhoff. If any of those guys get let lose when the game is on the line the opposition are in trouble.
A mixture of better leadership, match winning ability and certainly coaching tactics and game plan. Ports game plan is innovative, brilliant and perfect for their list.
