Loui is correct Thomas only got another year as a rookie

As for Hutchy he is in New York, up on current events isn't his forte at the minute  ;D

Like I said just said what I heard on Saturday arvo on sen. Connelly and Schwartz(not Hutchy My error)

If it was wrong so be it. I personally wouldn't give Thomas 1 week let alone 1 year. Waste of a rookie spot which should be designed to developing a kid like premiership clubs do.

Instead of telling me I'm wrong luigi which you seem to do a lot of with everyone, tell me what position Edwards has played most of his games in

Answer is forward. Where does garlett play-forward. Garlett would have been a perfect fit for the club which could have helped Edwards rotate more in the midfield. Away from Robinson Garlett will do fine  and has runs on the board

Only this year he was moved to the middle, maybe year before also for parts.

If you cant see that maybe you need to start going to a few games pal. He was there to play a small forward role but that changed this year and he did very well in the LAST dozen games

First were average just like his other years. Another fact. No one had an issue with his back end and if they did they are idiots, it's that level which he has never put together for the majority of a year.

Even the RFC said as much re: his first 13 games
Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

I think you'll find thought his career he's played a more high half forward rotating through the midfield roll. He's never played a sole game locked in the forward line.
How often does Garlett rotate through the middle? Answer is never! Why, because he's a small crumbing forward who doesn't have the tank to Greg anywhere near the midfield!
Also I've never disagreed that Edwards started slowly this year, so did two thirds of the team but in saying that at least he played a full year, o'l mate Jeffy couldn't even get a game in a side that ended up below us on the ladder :lol If he has all this hidden talent he certainly does a good job of hiding it ;)

  • Sir
imo edwards is yet to put together a complete season.  he continues to have some very ordinary games  every yr. how soon we forget the start of the yr.
what does it say about our clearance winners when a bloke whos played just a handful of games can come off the rookie list and totally dominate  clearances and c/ps.

the laughs just keep on coming . it hilarious to hear you nuffies talking edwards up as a jet  :o :o . the over rating goes on in earnest.

its sad really quick to put the boots into opposition players, its not game day fellas you can take the blinkers of and have an unbiased discussion, , but no all opposition players are duds and you remain  oblivious to our players weaknesses and defend em to the hilt.

2014 AFL League Clearances Per Game Leaders (Minimum 5 Games Played)
Rk   Player   Team   Gm   Stat
1   G. Ablett   Suns   15   7.9
2   T. Liberatore   Bulldogs   22   7.1
3   A. Swallow   Kangaroos   18   7.0
4   N. Fyfe   Dockers   20   6.7
5   M. Priddis   Eagles   22   6.7
6   A. Miles   Tigers   13   6.6
7   C. Ward   Giants   20   6.5
8   J. Kennedy   Swans   23   6.4
9   T. Rockliff   Lions   18   6.4
10   J. Selwood   Cats   24   6.4

what does it say about afl players, clearance winners when a bloke whos played just a handful of games can come off the rookie list and totally be sixth in the game

Whoops

So when we say we are loading up for a free agency run this year, we really mean we want Dangerfield or just an average player.

I would also seriously look at Steve Johnson. Having him buzzing about in our forward line for a couple of years would be very handy to say the least.

+1 for this. His bag of tricks near goal and the fact he can be rotated through the middle would make great mentorship even if he doesn't play all 22 games

Good call.

Rance is arguably the 2nd most attractive target on that list!
