His kicking is overated, he's similar to Foley by foot
Surely you jest. :shh
Not at all I reckon his kicking isn't that flash
Well I don't agree. ;D
From some of the magoos games I have seen, he delivers the ball into the forward 50m zone as well as anyone bar a couple of players at Richmond and will only get better IMHO.
Let's both hope he proves you wrong! ;D
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

You're being generous there Phil.
Duncan Kellaway or Mitch Robinson would be a better comparison.

Kicking's servicible as long he doesn't try anything too ambitious but generally you want better footskills than that on your halfback line, which leads me to wonder if we wouldn't be better served trying him in the middle and/or forward of the ball.

EDIT: Reading back, not sure if Groupie Phil was talking about Dea or Lennon but I'm referring to the former, disposal by foot is clearly one of the latter's strengths.

Kam McIntosh  :clapping ;D

Also think Lennon will improve. Would like to see him player sweeper across the HB line. He is an excellent kick
mlol mcintosh has had two yrs delist asap. lennon is on thin ice after just one yr. better not have another ordinary season or hes out too.

well thats the sort of impression i get from postsers.

the improvement has to come from those who have been around for 3 or 5 yrs and not really produced.
vickery, griffiths, astbury batchelor, dea, arnot, elton, conca etc if these cant improve to an acceptable level or  force others out of the side we will go nowhere.

I agree and you can add to that our leaders and best players have to lead week in week out.
All the great teams have leaders who stand up and get the job done when it comes to the crunch. Luke Hodge for example.

agree with the above - our success over the next several years rests on the development and improvement of the likes of the 3-5 yr players who haven't cemented themselves. If batch, dea, Arnott, griff, conca and astbury all become regular contributors that would take so much heat off the side.

Having said that you would still hope that first round draft picks like lennon and Vlastuin step up sooner rather than later given their status as blue chip talented draftees.

Arseberry was going gangbusters before he got injured, Vlaustin should be ready for his third year bounce back, Lennon was injured all year wasn't he?

Agreed.
