This news story worries me.If we are to become a power club we need to match our rivals in income generation. Now the club may have taken steps to rectify this, however I am not aware of it

The revenue being generated has little relevance if we don't know the margin being generated on that turnover.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Personally I hope the profits are marginal at best. These are footy clubs not for profit organisations, why the hell do they do this.  If we need the cash how bout we start selling hamburgers instead? MicDonalds makes a buck or two last I heard.

But article says "Net Gaming Revenue" which to me means it is total revenue less costs incurred to earn the revenue = Net Revenue, margin on Gross Revenue is already allowed for

We really are a minnow in the profit area

Overall we had the third largest profit last year, and 8 consecutive profits in a row.

To clarify are you talking about being a minnow of profit on Pokie machine revenue or overall profits?

He doesn't know what he means. But he will take option c, whichever makes his post look less ridiculous.

Yeah but we aren't making any money off of pokies at all. Let's get some more

Yet we still didn't find the need to use that money and replace Leppa.  :banghead :banghead
