How many games will we win in 2015?
« on: October 30, 2014, 01:41:38 PM »
We've had a few hours to look at the fixture. So how many games do you think we will win in 2015?

Using wayne's famous colour code  ;D

1. Carlton        MCG      P
2. W.Bulldogs   MCG       P ...... Should be a W but round 3 stick out  :scream
3. Brisbane      Gabba    P ..... we have an excellent record up there.
4. Melbourne     MCG     P ...... another "should be a W"
5. Geelong        MCG     L ....... bogey side
6. North          Hobart   L ....... bogey side
7. Collingwood    MCG     L ...... bogey side that has owned us when we've played them earlier in the season  :scream.
8. Port Adelaide Adelaide L .......  :help
9. Essendon      MCG      P ...... we've played crap in recent Dreamtimes then beat them easily later in the year.
10. Fremantle Patersons  L
12. West Coast  MCG      W
13. Sydney        SCG      L ....... if it was at ANZ again we would've been a show.
14. GWS            MCG     W
15. Carlton         MCG     P
16. St Kilda       Etihad    W
17. Fremantle      MCG    P
18. Hawthorn      MCG    L
19. Adelaide     Adelaide  P
20. Gold Coast    MCG     P ...... bogey side
21. Collingwood   MCG     P ...... I don't see the Pies making the finals next year so I'm hoping they have ran out of puff by round 21.
22. Essendon      MCG     W ...... the bombers have usually run out of puff by this stage.
23. North           Etihad   L .......... bogey side at their home ground  :banghead

So that's:
Wins: W - 4
Possibles: P - 10
Losses: L - 8

Looking at a ~9 win season spliting the Possible games :-\.

We're going to have to break a fair few 'bogies' next year if we want to play finals again. We need to win at least 3 of the first 4 to build some winning momentum and form going into tough rounds 5-8. We don't want to be anything less than 5-5 after round 10 going into the bye.

The lid will be well and truly off if we did that  ;D. We'll be demanding a premiership with a 17-5 record :yep.

I've voted for 11-12, middle of the road, and that's if we play our best footy.
We haven't recruited anyone, we are half heartedly going after the scraps that are on offer and we have weak positions in the draft.

I hope they aren't banking on the winning streak this year, it was a fixturing mirage, this team peaked in 2013 when we beat Freo, outsmarted Hawthorn and flogged the lower sides by 10 goals and GWS by 20. Even still we were 8-10 goals away from the best sides and still were this year too. If MT is right and we only get 9 wins, Hardwick will be handing over the beginnings of a train wreck to the next coach.

Would you like to make a wager? Put your money where your mouth is.
I say we can win one or more games. You say we can't.

How much would you like to bet? :whistle

Good point, why wasn't 0 games an option by itself
