Paul Armstrong on Club Corner - 8 Aug (Sport 927)
« on: August 09, 2005, 03:48:22 AM »
Paul Armstrong was again on Club Corner last night.

* We tried hard but missed opportunities in the second quarter.

* Goalkicking - combination of lack of confidence and angles (leading to pockets etc).

* We need more class and skill in the side.

* Graham - pulled up a bit tight in the back so rested him. Didn't say if he'll play or not.

* Tambling - cramp not hamstring tightness - will play this week.

* Gaspar and Richo got through.

* Tivs and Staff will be available and will play.

* 6-7 short of our best against Freo at full strength. Dogs back to near full strength [Ed. less Darcy]. Cattle makes all the difference. Tiges and Dogs both at 9 wins each. We're going out to win.

* Browny back from OS last week. Extra work over the end of season break to get himself right. The anger and frustration of the initial injury is gone and he has come to terms with the program ahead for him.

Francis Jackson (works with Greg Miller with our recruiting) was also interviewed although he didn't anything specific in regards to our recruting from memory. Second part of interview next week.  He's known Greg for 19 years or so since Greg left South Melb/Sydney for North. Maybe we might finally get something good out of that Pitura trade after all!
